In my spare time, I write.

The concept of the story is about how we would recognise  advanced data if it came from another world. With Ai growing at a tremendous pace, anything and everything becomes suspicious when we see it on our screens, phones and other devices. 'Song' is a story about how information from another planet might arrive on Earth and then learn to understand about life and, especially, humans. If this alien information was more advanced than our basic binary codes (used in every computer chip), how would it say "hello" and be believed? How would it do so without causing mass panic across the world if its intentions were friendly and it was able to understand and comprehend human nature?

This is a story about such alien data and how, with the aid of a student at university and two celebrity physicists, it overcomes the issues of credibility in order to research Earth and help save it from itself.  It's a light-hearted story with some humour whilst dealing with some scary concepts, but also world issues that we continually struggle to overcome.

And, for once, it has nothing to do with Arran!!
